THE COMPANY

My client are a leading UK Civil Engineering and Construction company with several divisions including rail, highways, commercial construction working on a variety of schemes. Their renowned success has enabled them to land several major projects including HS2 and Hinkley Point, with even more prosperous schemes in the pipeline.

Due to unprecedented growth within their design team for their Highways division, they have multiple openings for Design Engineers to come and join them out of their Birmingham office!

THE ROLE

You will be working within the design team of the highways function of the business, designing critical infrastructure projects within major highways schemes and city/town regeneration programmes across the UK.

This role comes with plenty of variety as you will be involved in anything from highways construction schemes, bridge refurbishments and remodelling, highways maintenance and also earthworks – so if you’re looking to become the master of all, or even to become more specialist, there’s plenty of opportunities to achieve your career goals as the business embark on delivering their gigantic work bank for the next decade!

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Due to the large growth period of the business, you can be any level of design engineer as long as you have a solid civil engineering background and understanding. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop your design skills working in house for a contractor as they set up an entire design function, so it’s clear to see the progression path ahead of you!

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for the role, you must have a solid civil engineering background – you can be either a Senior Engineer looking to develop into design, or already have design experience.

You will also be Degree qualified (HNC minimum) with relevant experience working on highways schemes – structures, earthworks, road construction, maintenance etc.

PACKAGE

Due to there being openings at various levels, my client is offering a basic salary between £30k - £45k depending on experience plus package.
