Job Role: Design Engineer X4

I'm currently recruiting for 4 Design Engineers to work for a major Security Systems & Telecoms company based in Coventry on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities for the Design Engineers:

Ownership of design, procurement and testing of relevant sub-systems. Provide regular progress updates to Lead Design Engineers. Recognised company specialist for at least one sub-system. Ability to work on specialist sub-system(s) across multiple industries.

• Provide timely, accurate and detailed documentation
• Ensure safety and sustainability designs Ability to read and understand customer specifications and relevant regulations Liaising with customers and stakeholders
• Peer review of design documentation
• Attend design review meeting IOCs & IORs Keep Up-to-date with technology and best practise Within specialist sub-systems.
• Liaise with colleagues on sub-system interfaces
• Identify scope creep, savings, variations
• BOM production, procurement, supplier liaison
• On-site commissioning activities
• Pre-FAT and FAT completion
• Providing support to bid engineering team and Site engineering team within identified specialisms
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Clients policies in respect of Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and other policies which may, time to time, be Implemented or amended

Requirements for the Design Engineers:

• Experience with Designing Security Systems, preferably including:

• Production and peer review of technical design documentation
• Design experience within security, telecoms, electrical or mechanical engineering
• Experience of working as part of a project delivery team
• Installation and commissioning experience within relevant industry or discipline
• Experience within a relevant industry: Critical National Construction, Rail, Oil & Gas, Energy or National Grid
• Prioritising and managing timescale
• Attention to detail and procedure adherence
• Working flexibility

• Problem solving and solution focused
