Frameworks Recruitment are working in partnership with one of the UK’s award winning principal Rail contractors in the recruitment of an Experienced Design Manager to work on a complex and challenging Multi-Disciplinary Rail project based near Sheffield. This position is offered on a long term freelance or Permanent Basis.

On this project that you will be working on is complex and challenging where you will be tested, working alongside a dedicated team of Engineering Personnel who values teamwork and commitment and are driven to the common goal of delivering projects safely, on time and to budget.

As the Design Manager you will be carrying out the following duties:

• Day to day management of all project level engineering activities, including assessment of permanent and temporary works design, works requirements and the appointment of suitable resource to satisfactorily complete those works.
• Manage delivery of guidance and service support to contribute a clear view for delivering design management and engineering.
• Provide operational, strategic and contractual advice and service to bid preparation and project management when associated with design management.
• Review of all Designs to ensure coordination between design disciplines.
• Responsible for ensuring that all changes in client / company standards are captured, reviewed and briefed.

What is my client looking for in candidates ?

• Preferably Chartered
• Previously accepted as a Design Manager on projects between £10-15 Million
• Civils Background but with Multi-Disciplinary Experience
• Degree or Equivalent in Civil Engineering or relevant demonstrable experience
• Holder of a valid Personal Track Safety Card
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure

What’s on offer to you?

My client is offering a contract rate of £380-£400 per day or a permanent salary and benefits package of £55,000 plus Car/Allowance and Bonus (to 15pc of annual salary)
