PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The candidate will play a vital role in the timely compilation of the project documentation as required for the various projects undertaken by the clients Delivery team on behalf of Network Rail and London Underground Ltd.

The Project Administrator will provide support and assistance throughout the entire project lifecycle, to the Project Manager, Handback Manager, Design team, Construction Team and associate third party subcontractors to secure the required information for each individual site documentation for a project. Support areas will include cross discipline liaison to ensure documentation produced to the required standard in a timely manner to support the Project/Handback programme and meet contractual deadlines.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / TASKS

  • Ensure Production and Maintainance of Project progress trackers in line with the project programmes for various Projects.
  • Secure the relevant copies of the documents in chase across the project delivery team
  • Provide support and guidance to the Project Manager.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Handback Manager.
  • Seek final approvals on handback delivery from CRE, CEM and Handback Manager prior issue to client
  • Liaise with the Project Managers and Contractors Engineering Managers and Client Supply Chain in the production of project delivery related documents and progress registers.
  • Liaise with Third Party Contractors and Client for site specific inputs required for Handback completion.
  • Manage and Monitor the production of the required documentation from the various sources to ensure compliance with programme objectives in a timely manner.
  • Production of Monthly/Weekly reports identifying progress against objectives and highlighting any areas of delay.
  • Escalate and report issues to the Project Manager as soon as such are apparent. This includes producing routine reports.
  • Carry out other relevant tasks as may be required by the project team.
  • Updating and chasing the Internal project teams on regular basis and controlling in line with The clients Internal works procedure documents

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Studies
  • Rail Electrification competence relevant to role. (PTS and ICI Card Holder)

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in the management of the Network Rail document delivery process would be a significant advantage
  • Experience in using Microsoft applications: - Word, Visio and Excel
  • Administrator Skills.
  • Experience of Compliance activities.
  • Good IT skills
  • Proven ability to influence mutli-disciplined teams to ensure compliance
  • Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
  • Ability to produce written reports
  • Conversant with Network Rail standards.
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Background and knowledge of Network Rail Handback process would be of benefit.
  • Practical experience of Railway Project work.

  • Stop work when instructed to do so and only resume or commence work when instructed it is safe to do so
  • Report all safety and environmental incidents and accidents
