Crewit Resourcing are working on behalf of a growing design consultancy with in a number of sectors, including rail and LU networks.

We are recruiting for an Engineering Design Manager to play a lead multi functional role of a growing design consultancy which you will play a key role in growing and developing. This role requires someone who is competent, comes from a consultancy background covering ancilliary civils work, wants to and enjoys doing detailed design work across civils infrastructure, rail and highways.

The role will encompass developing engineering calculations, understanding Survey/CAD techniques, overseeing all designs, managing the development of the design process along with working towards the growth and business development of the business.

Key duties

Managing the design process

Working with and supporting the client on the development of designs

Ensure compliance with design regulations

Contribute to business development

Qualifications

Degree/Masters in Civil Engineering

Chartered engineer status

Experience with in the civil engineering sector, in particular the rail industry

Technical proficiency/experience

Project management

Civil engineering design

Rail temporary works design

Geotechnical design

CRE design experience in the rail industry

Man management/leadership of engineers/designers

This person will possess excellent communication leadership and motivational skills, have the ability to lead a team of designers/engineers and be able to liaise with the client on a number of matters.
