Engineering & Design Managers

Our Australian Engineering business offers a comprehensive engineering capability within the infrastructure sector. We are seeking Design and Engineering Managers for major rail infrastructure projects that we are currently delivering including the Melbourne Metro and the Level Crossing Removal program, along with a growing pipeline of major rail projects in Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne.

As an Engineering or Design Manager you will take up a key role in managing the design process on large Design and Build projects interfacing with our inhouse design teams and external design consultants in addition to our construction teams.

You will be responsible for managing a number of disciplines where you will identify opportunities for improvement, review compliance, chair design meetings, manage the document development and ensure packages are issued through a tightly coordinated document control process.

During construction, you will also work closely with third party interfaces and user groups to provide input into design with a focus on detailed plans to ensure the clients brief is delivered on time, safely and within budget constraints.

We are looking for seasoned professionals with extensive engineering design management experience gained on large scale civil engineering projects. These roles also requires commercially astute individuals who have design managed a range of projects from pre-construction, through to handover. You will have major project experience preferably across a range of civil infrastructure sectors including rail. Degree qualified your experience to date will derive from either a top tier contractor or consultant, project management group or directly from within a client environment.

Some of our leadership team will travel to the UK in the coming weeks and months to conduct interviews with the aim of commencing new starters throughout 2018.
