We are currently recruiting for major infrastructure client organisation, looking for Technical Content Specialists on a permanent basis, to work on a major undertaking to update and refresh the operational design manual, incorporating environmental design and sustainable development best practice into operational documentation. This role is based in Bedford.
The duties of the Technical Content Specialist, are to work with the document authors in providing necessary technical content relating to Environmental Design and Sustainable Development within the design manual for roads and bridges. This content will be gathered by consultation, facilitation, obtaining consensus and significant stakeholder liaison.
Successful candidate will have a degree or similar qualification in a engineering or environmental design area such as Environmental Design, Sustainable Development, Landscape architecture or Urban design or Planning. Alongside the technical knowledge, the successful candidate will have strong writing skills and the ability to disseminate complex information to non-technical stakeholders. Finally, some Project management skills are required, especially stakeholder liaison and management and working to key deadlines.
