We are currently working with a leading Engineer consultancy whom are renowned in industry looking to recruit for either a Highways Design Engineer or Senior Highways Design Engineer to be based within Essex, specifically Chelmsford, but could have to the potential to be based in one of there regional offices in the Surrey region. This is an excellent opportunity in which designing works with values up to £100million, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest technical standards. 

Within the role you will work on inception to options appraisal through to detailed scheme design and delivery support all aspects of highway alignment design including links and all types of junctions. You will providing technical support on highway infrastructure projects and the process and techniques involved in highway design and scheme development and manage the technician and graduate engineers undertaking the Lead Engineer on schemes. 

This is an excellent position to one of the worlds most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies and would suite someone whom has strong experience within a consultancy environment using Civil 3D or MX. 


Job Requirements

• Proficient in Highways Design software such as Civil 3D, INROADS, MX or similar
• Experience working on such schemes as alignment and junctions
• Working knowledge of the DMRB
• Working towards Chartership, or early Chartered
