We are seeking candidates with a background in Track design from a reputable UK Rail engineering consultancy. We would be seeking candidates with experience in plain line & switching and crossing design.

Principal requirements of the successful candidate will be;

Main duties and responsibilities include;

• Responsible for delivery of P-Way design from initial conception to final delivery
• Handle technical queries independently
• Provide our clients with technical knowledge and insight
• Ensure work is undertaken effectively and productively;
• Attend design meetings, internally and externally, liaising with senior stakeholders
• Implement best practice and assist with technical development
• Weekly reporting to section lead

Necessary qualifications and experience of a candidate;

• HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering
• Established design experience in the Rail industry, with demonstrable experience in Permanent Way at a design consultancy
• Working knowledge of track design standards and approval process.
• Experienced user of AutoCAD and either MX Rail or Bentley Rail Track.
• Good team working skills with the ability to develop working relationships quickly and effectively.
• Working knowledge of surveying principles, both traditional and topographical is desirable.
• Some design experience within Earthworks and Drainage design would be preferred.
