An award winning international engineering consultancy seeks to employ a proven rail telecoms design professional (both OPS & SISS) in the position of Principal Rail Telecoms Design Engineer. This is a leadership position where the suitable candidate will manage a dynamic and enthusiastic team of six telecoms design engineers with the freedom to grow the department as they deem fit.

Reporting into the Divisional Director the Principal Rail Telecoms Design Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of six Rail Telecoms Design Engineers. You will Act as Consultant, Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) or Technical Lead on projects as required. You will support the Technical Discipline Lead (Telecommunications) in the delivery of technical leadership and excellence on specific projects. This is an exciting time for the Telecoms Design Team as they are looking to add up to 20 Engineers to the team and you will be responsible for growing their London capability. With this in mind you will also play a key role in securing new business and provide technical and estimating skills within the Business Unit to support successful delivery of bids. You will develop tools, techniques and resources to meet the emerging requirements of our market sectors, consistent with a commitment to continuous improvement.

To be considered for the position of Principal Rail Telecoms Design Engineer candidates will ideally by Chartered of working towards Chartered status. You will have substantial Rail Telecoms Design experience with an appreciation of both OPS Comms and SISS design. You will have experience in leading and motivating teams accompanied with a supportive and inspirational management style.
