My client is a major principal rail contractor delivering schemes for Network rail around the country. With a major project win in the pipeline in 2017/18 we are looking to recruit an experienced OLE Design Engineer to be based in Manchester on permanent or contract terms.

You will be working on a large rail project providing engineering design and consultancy services within rail overhead line electrification.

The successful candidates will be part of the Project Team to deliver engineering services on overhead lines. The ideal engineer will need to have the relevant knowledge and skills in OHLE, engineering practices and legislation and rail to perform the duties to the highest standards.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Delivering detailed OLE designs
• Liaising with the client to ensure adherence to client specifications
• Managing and mentoring junior team members
• Ensuring the Team adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
• Checking feasibility for the works to be carried on the project to ensure the project can be delivered on time and to budget

Requirements:

• HND / HNC in Engineering or equivalent subject
• Proven experience in UK based rail OLE design (categorically essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Happy to be based in Manchester
• Confident liaising with clients and other stakeh0lders
• Fully eligible to work in the UK
