We are currently dealing with a major award-winning Engineering consultancy who are looking at recruiting a Senior Track Design Engineer for there Birmingham office working on both UK and international projects for Network Rail and other heavy or light rail environments.  As the Senior Track Design Engineer, youll be part of the Rail team providing a comprehensive design and advisory service focused on meeting the engineering challenges involved in servicing the infrastructure requirements of renewal, enhancement, and turnkey projects.  Typical job duties of the Senior Track Design Engineer can include, but not limited to:

• Design/lead permanent way solutions for engineering projects in accordance with client requirements
• Act as design deliverables checker and Track CRE on specific projects when required
• Undertake Track/permanent way engineer for alignment design  
• Undertake the design of switches and crossing 

Job Requirements

• Experience in Bentley Rail Track, PowerRail, OpenRail or similar
• Sound knowledge of track interfaces with other systems such signalling, traction power, civils etc. and the ability to communicate and integrate with the relevant designers to find holistic railway system solutions
• 4 or more years experience within Track Design Engineering
• Strong knowledge and expertise in alignment design engineering
