Our client, a rail infrastructure company is currently looking for a Document Controller to work on a long-term contract basis located in their offices in Reading working within a team that supports a large scale and flagship rail project.

The Document Controller will perform the following tasks/duties;
-Manage documents (internal & external).
-Monitor so that the programme teams and Suppliers comply with document control processes and procedures.
-Check compliance and quality of documents.
-Maintain a register of documentation and files through the use of the EDMS (eB).
-Distribute documentation to relevant people using distribution matrices.
-Liaise with Sponsor \ Contractor \ Subcontractor organisations as required.
-Perform EDMS checks using issues\error reports (minimum - weekly).
-Report on the progress of documents.

The Document Controller will have the following qualifications/experience;
-The Documents Controller will have at least 2 years Document Control experience working on a major programme.
-Knowledge of eB would be an advantage.
-Experience of working on Rail Projects particularly within Signalling would also be an advantage.
