Document Controller in London, London, United Kingdom
My client is currently looking to recruit a proactive Document Controller in London on a 6 month temporary contract. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with previous experience of working within a similar role and knowledge of Business Calibrator (BC). The role is required to maintain all formal project documentation within a consistent controlled system, to ensure that contractual requirements are met in relation to published documentation.
Key Requirements:
* Ensure that all formal project documentation and drawings are accurately recorded
* Ensure that established document control process are complied with at all times
* Ensure that documentation is delivered in a timely to the relevant parties
* Establish and audit document libraries
* Work to exceed expected quality standards, comply with processes at all times and contribute to improvements
Responsibilities:
* To operate, maintain and assure the projects Business Collaborator Electronic Document Management System
* To administer the Business Collaborator Electronic Document System and provide periodic and adhoc reports
* Day to day receipt transmission and storage of information on Business Collaborator
* Ensuring the accuracy and revision control of formal contract/project documentation
* Quality review of all submissions to ensure compliance with formal submission criteria
* Maintenance of relevant document and drawing registers
* Ensure that document control procedures are adopted for all documentation
* Maintain the following Registers and associated procedures:
* Drawing/Document Register/s
* Correspondence Register
* - Register of DRNs for Design and Construction
o Register of Document transmittal's
o Issue Register
* Collation of AFC packs to enable CEM review and sign off
* Ensure all documentation is archived in accordance with Company procedure
* Support QA activities with collation of hand-back documentation, Health and Safety files and client asset database
Key Skills and Experience:
* BC - knowledge of Business Calibrator is essential
* Attention to detail
* Methodical and accurate data entry
* Proficient IT skills, MS Office, Adobe
* Proficient with document control systems
* Good communication skills/Team player
* Excellent written and oral English
* Identify priorities and action accordingly
* An understanding of Engineering operations and structure (desirable)
* Working knowledge of Business Collaborator & eB software (desirable)
* Previous experience within a document control role - essential
* Experienced in the use of a document control software package
* Engineering/construction environment
Electronic Document Management Systems to administrator level
