Job Description

ATA are currently recruiting for 2 X Commissioning Engineers (1 X Electrical and 1 X Mechanical) on a contract basis to work on a large New Build Energy Scheme. You will be joining a team of existing advisors to provide their client and the end user with commissioning assistance, training and trouble shooting. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will have working knowledge of Biomass plants, including all its elements; Steam Turbine, Fuel combustion system and FGD. You will work closely with the main contractors offering professional advice and utilise your vast engineering and commissioning knowledge to ensure full commissioning through to start up on multi-million-pound energy plants!

The Candidate

The right person will have a solid background in heavy engineering, from a Power Plant, EFW or Biomass. You will be qualified within your engineering discipline and have proven experience in successfully commissioning Power plants of this nature. You must be prepared to work a shift pattern. You will be an excellent communicator and work well within multi-discipline teams and across sectors. Requirements:

• Engineering qualification / Mechanical OR Electrical
• E,C & I knowledge (if appropriate)
• Must have working knowledge of Operation of; Power Plants; EFW, Biomass, Flue Gas and Steam turbines!
• Flexible – you will be required to work a shift pattern
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong communicator
• Excellent attitude
