Principal Electrical Design Engineer in Manchester, United Kingdom

Based in state of the art offices in the heart of Manchester, you will work alongside some of the industry’s most talented engineers to design major HV electrical upgrades and installations on some of the most high profile rail projects in the country, whilst receiving ongoing training and support in order to reach your career aspirations, whatever they may be.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET)
- A professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer with the IET
- Comprehensive knowledge of Network Rail, British and European electrical and lighting Standards
- Excellent understanding of CDM and CSM processes with exceptional skills for managing hazards and risks
- 8 years postgraduate experience in railway electrical power design (e.g. signalling power, points heating, lighting and building services, etc.)
- Experience of leading teams during site surveys
