Senior Engineer (Rail Electrical) in South Yorkshire, Yorkshire, United Kingdom

A Telecommunications, Signalling and Power Contractor is seeking Senior Electrical Engineer (Railway experienced) to join its expanding team and project portfolio.
You will be carrying out design and project engineering aspects of railway based electrical systems including small power, LV distribution, UPS, lighting, line-side equipment power, station cabling and CMS schemes valued from £100,000 to £5m. You will act as Contractors Responsible Engineer for railway electrical projects. You'll ensure that all Network Rail processes and procedures are adhered to, prepare technical documentation associated with railway electrical projects. You will be preparing technical complex designs to support projects, technical scopes of work, as well as management of the processes in accordance with requirements. In this role your influence and expertise will not stop there, you'll be involved in the delivery of projects from inception to completion working closely with installation, test and commissioning teams to ensure engineering and project requirements are met throughout the full project life cycle.

To be considered for this role you will have extensive experience in railway electrical systems (LV power, station systems, UPS, lighting, line-side equipment, cabling and CMS) design and engineering. You will preferably be a signed off Network Rail CRE (preferably design) or at a point in your career where you are excited about the prospect of taking on the extra responsibility, combined with the technical competence to back that up. You should have the drive to deliver work right first time, provide solutions to complicated engineering problems. Have a strong working knowledge of railway electrical systems in design and construction activities.

Salaries are negotiable dependent on skills and experience. Plus a benefits package, including 25 days holiday per annum, rising to 30 days (length of service), contributory pension, company vehicle, uplifts for weekends if required.
