My client is a world leading independent third party approvals body offering certification of fire, security and sustainability products and services to an international market. They have large-scale and unique world class facilities for the experimentation of building, construction and transport products to European and International standards.
With a growing passive fire protection business, there are challenging and interesting opportunities for a Assessment Engineer with experience in the fire assessment of construction product sectors such as fire rated duct-work, fire doors, fire protection of steelwork and /or compartmentation.
Responsibilities for the Assessment engineer include:
*Undertake fire assessments in one or more of the following areas fire rated duct-work, fire doors, fire protection of steelwork and /or compartmentation.
*Provide technical support for the passive fire protection testing activities.
*Represent the business at National and European standards committees covering passive fire protection.
Essential requirements for Assessment:
*Knowledge of passive fire protection and the European and National assessment rules.
*Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
*Self-motivated and ability to work to tight timescales.
*Excellent negotiation and organisational skills.
*Commitment to team working.
