Asset Engineer in City of London, London, United Kingdom
Randstad CPE is currently recruiting for an Asset Engineer to work on a Rail project for 4 months. The role is with a Tier 1 contractor based in Central/East London.
The Asset Engineer will be accountable to the Asset Manager for the handling, storage and population of the Asset Register data; putting in place required processes and guidance.
Duties included:
- Supporting the Asset Manager in configuring asset data which complies with the client's standards and procedures and challenge any processes that could be improved for the client and end user, the client templates for asset configuration include:
- Asset Data Collection Spreadsheets (ADCS)
- Equipment Request Forms (ERF)
- Asset to Space Schedules (ATSS)
- Asset Allocation Schedules (ATPS)
- Equipment Allocation Schedules (EAS)
- Following the labelling program
- Help co-ordinate the collection of the above data from suppliers, design leads into the contractor's database
- Transacting requests for asset and equipment labelling. This includes the ordering or printing of asset labels which comply with the client's asset naming and labelling guidelines
- To act as the point of information for the contractor in respect of asset management matters
- To put in place necessary processes for safe storage of Asset Data Collection Spread sheets and track progress
- To track any changes to asset information and feed back to the Asset Manager
Educational requirements:
- Engineer or other higher education with some experience of Railway projects
- Knowledge of asset management principles
- Fluent English
- Good understanding of databases and data structure
- Basic knowledge of OHLE (catenary), track and M&E elementary systems
