We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Associate Engineer/Director in the Wakefield office, to work for a leading consultancy on major highways engineer projects, for a variety of clients.
The right candidate will provide technical guidance to others and report systematically the projects and their progress (fee proposals, bids, CDM, QA aspects). The relevant candidate needs to have extensive experience in leading civil engineering (e.g. site inspections and scheme investigations), as well as managing resources effectively.
You will work with both public and private sector, while also doing business development through consolidating existing client relationships and seeking out new projects. As an Associate Highway Design Engineer, you will mentor and coordinate teams on highway projects.

Job Requirements:
- Strong technical background within highway engineering
- Working on highway and transportation projects including horizontal and vertical alignment
- Experience of major design works (S106, S38)
- Previous highway design experience as an Associate
- Previous experience working in a consulting organisation and with local Government clients
- Knowledge of Design codes
- Ability to oversee or undertake pavement and drainage design to current DMRB standards (WinDes/ Microdrainage)
- Essential experience in software, such as Civil3D, MX or similar.
