Role: Senior/Principal Structural Engineer
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

I am looking to place a (chartered) Principal Structural Engineer in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancys Liverpool office. This is an opportunity for someone already operating at Principal level and looking for access to a range of new projects or for a Senior with the right experience to step into a more senior role.

The firm has offices across the UK and is going from strength to strength, with career progression and development opportunities available to candidates. The basis for this role is to lead a team of other engineers on a range of structural design projects. The firm has grown to the point where this new team leader position has become a requirement to ensure continued and stable management of numerous projects. The holder of this post is very likely to develop into an Associate position in the future.

Ideally, candidates will be chartered with either the IStructE or ICE. For those not yet chartered but who have been operating at a senior level for some time, the firm operates an accredited training program and has numerous mentors who can help candidates progress towards attaining qualification.

A broad knowledge of structural design is preferred, with the offices current projects including mixed-use high-rise structures, a range of commercial and retail projects, and education/University schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a broad range of experience in these areas or for someone with a strong background in structural design to improve their design skills in these specific areas.

Job Requirements:

• Chartership with either IStructE or ICE (desirable)
• Relevant education in Structural Engineering
• Design using steel, RC, masonry, timber
• Experience of high-rise structures, education, commercial design, healthcare, residential
