COMMISSIONING ENGINEER – COVERING WEST SUSSEX AND HAMPSHIRE
Commissioning Engineer for Short-Term (initial 3 month contract) opportunity for Water Projects covering AMP6 Framework
ATA Recruitment currently have an opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer for a long-term contract with our client working on the AMP6 Water Framework covering East Sussex and Kent.
Our client is responsible for the delivery of manufacturing and commissioning of equipment on schemes within water supply and wastewater treatment.
The successful Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for proving technical support, advice and assistance into the planning, executing and documenting of commissioning activities on projects and programme of works.
You will operate in a growing team which undertakes commissioning on a wide variety of water treatment projects covering multiple projects at any given time. The value of projects typically range between £3.5million - £7million.
Duties and Responsibilities
As per a Commissioning Engineer’s role but also including the following:
- Represent the Commissioning Manager as required
- Initial survey of projects from a MEICA/commissioning perspective
- Interviewing of commissioning engineers with Commissioning Manager
- Preparation of commissioning programmes for implementation
- Working with Commissioning Manager on setting of priorities
- Lead commissioning role on complex/high priority projects
- EICA support/advice to commissioning engineers across the programme as required
- Understanding telemetry requirements through specifications and liaison with clients ICA department
- Process Commissioning support across the programme as required
Education / Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
Essential:
- HNC/HND in Engineering/Technical or equivalent
- CSCS
- Successful and safe commissioning of complex process and MEICA water and wastewater projects
- Process control systems and strategies
- Electrical and instrumentation systems
- Working within a certified quality management system
- Able to demonstrate solid Health and Safety credentials and able to operate within a certified SHES system
- Excellent working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes systems and M&E Plant and Equipment
Preferable:
- BSc/MSc in relevant engineering discipline
- Member of an Engineering Institute
Rate - Dependent on experience £320 - £370 per day
Duration - Ongoing – initial contract of 3 months with option for extension
