A Railway Telecommunications Contractor is seeking a Communications Engineer, SCADA to join its London based project team. To Undertake technical client and assurance role in designated technical areas in relation to delivery of Communications and Control Systems (C&C Systems) by the System wide Delivery team and its contractors.

Main challenges of the job
Ensuring that the delivered systems comply with prescribed requirements
Establishing productive working relationships with operators and maintainers, System wide Delivery Team, external stakeholders/third party interfaces
Facilitating acceptance of the C&C systems by the Infrastructure Managers.

Knowledge and experience Required
Specific technical knowledge of SCADA systems
General knowledge of communications systems and their application on railways
Tertiary level academic qualification in communications engineering or allied discipline
Communications project engineering experience gained in a major rail projects environment; including experience of design, construction and testing & commissioning phases
Knowledge and experience of application of systems engineering and technical assurance methods and practices
Good communications and team-working skills.
