A Control Systems Engineer is required to join my Client at their offices in South Wales. Heading up the Infrastructure Maintenance delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all operational assets are reliable and accessible through timely and cost effective inspection and maintenance. These assets will primary include Signalling, but also Telecommunications, Electrical and Plant. As a leader you will be tasked with developing quarterly and annual work programmes in order to identify assets in need of renewal or maintenance. Subsequently you will manage the handover process ensuring all assets are restored to normal operations, simultaneously ensuring that safety, compliance and assurance processes are being followed.

As a Control Systems Engineer you will be educated to a relevant technical competence, as well as be a holder of the IRSE licence. With previous experience of asset maintenance management, you will have sound knowledge of the operational railway environment, including signalling failure investigation as well as E&P inspection, fault finding and renewal techniques. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, and will be able to communicate effectively within the team, thus ensuring their personal development and engagement.
