We are currently dealing with a leading consultancy who are looking to employ a Drainage Engineer on a 12-month contract. The role is outside IR35 and is based in the Liverpool/Prescot region. Currently, the firm is operating on a work-from-home policy until September, and will be operating a semi-flexible policy post-lockdown.
The successful candidate must have Flood Risk Investigation experience. This would include focus on Surface Water, Sewerage works, and Groundwater Flood Risks. Furthermore, having Drainage design knowledge and experience is very important, as it will entail a large portion of this role. Also, having an interest in Water-engineering, particularly knowledge of Hydrogeology, Hydrology and Hydraulics is very important. Also, knowledge and experience with water-based structures and utilities is essential.
Within the role, dependant on experience, you will be leading or helping manage the drainage design team. An aspect of this, would be liaison and engagement with local authorities, LLFAs, and ensuring that drainage designs are in accordance with the necessary section adoptions.
Job Description:
- Minimum of 5 years Drainage experience
- Produce Flood Risk Investigations
- Produce and Innovate drainage designs
- Knowledge of Hydrogeology, Hydrology and Hydraulics
- Engage with Internal and External stakeholders
- Knowledge of water structures and utilities
- Engage and liaise with local authorities and Lead Local Flood Authorities
