Electronics Engineers required to work within a team that delivers complex electronic power and control system solutions for rail vehicle auxiliary power generation and traction systems. The successful candidate will join an experienced and dynamic team designing and validating new electronics hardware and software, and providing technical expertise through the commissioning phase.

The position offers excellent development opportunities and a chance to work on a variety of interesting and challenging UK and international projects.

Responsibilities
Generating and maintaining design specifications.
Designing analogue & digital electronic cards for use in a rail environment.
Designing power electronics for high power / voltage applications.
Verifying designs to ensure necessary performance requirements are met.
Validating designs through testing.

Qualifications and experience
Essential
Degree qualified or demonstrable relevant experience in a field related to electronics engineering.
Experience designing and testing analogue circuitry.
Knowledge of Power electronics circuits and components.
The ability to provide clear, concise and accurate technical reports.

Desirable
Experience with FPGA devices and VHDL.
Experience with C/C++ or similar
Knowledge of design for EMC compliance

The candidate will be based in the existing engineering team at our manufacturing facility in Loughborough which has excellent transport links being only a short walking distance from Loughborough railway station.
