Frauscher is a global player in innovative sensor technology for railway applications. Frauscher UK has an exciting opportunity for a Field Engineer to support UK and Global projects.

Main responsibilities

• Support customers remotely and onsite.
• Be the primary interface and representative for Frauscher engineering on customer sites.
• Design and produce engineering drawings to help plan for trial/fixed installations.
• Installation of Frauscher equipment at customer sites (including system configuration, setup and testing)
• Undertake the collection and recording of application specific data.
• Be able to produce high quality reports, video and presentations of system installation (trial/fixed).
• Work closely with the Applications and Projects engineering team.
• Work with project manager and understand customer requirements of installation.
• Diagnose, fault find, repair, and support commissioning of Frauscher equipment.
• Adhere to relevant company process and regulations, including health and safety.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Experience with windows and Linux OS’s
• Familiar with MS office suite, experience with Visio
• Field engineering experience
• Communicate efficiently as part of the dynamic team catering to global business

Desired Skills/Experience (not essential)

• Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
• Sentinel – PTS/LUL

Education Requirements

• Degree level qualified in Engineering, Maths, Physics or similar.

Personal Skills

• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Maintain professionalism at customer sites
• Ability to think outside the box

Other Requirements

• Travel to Frauscher HQ in Austria as required
• Travel to customer sites worldwide as required
• Occasionally provide external product training for Installation, Testing and Maintenance Engineers.
• Experience working on Network Rail and London Underground infrastructure.
• Full UK driving licence.
