Job title: Senior Fleet Engineer / Consultant - Rolling Stock
Job location: Various (Regional Offices Glasgow; Midlands; or South London + Client Visits Nationwide)
Salary: Negotiable DOE + Excellent Benefits including private healthcare and annual performance bonus
Key Responsibilities
You will join a leading rolling stock company to help deliver projects within Train Operators to improve the maintenance, maintainability and reliability of operational fleet.
This role requires somebody who has a passion for improvement. The role focuses on continual improvement and optimization and we need a driven problem solver who relishes a challenge. The successful applicant will be able to easily identify areas for improvement and make positive contributions. We are keen to speak with candidates who have successful experience implementing changes to improve, reliability, maintainability, availability, performance, safety or costs.
This role will have a strong client facing element and may at times require you to integrate into the clients internal delivery teams and work full time at client site to help deliver projects. You must therefore feel comfortable working within the depot environment and communicating internally and externally to help push projects along and secure any necessary assistance or approvals.
This role would be ideal for individuals who have experience in depot optimization or depot operations projects (multi-disciplinary), fleet introductions or major overhauls, RAMs or other business optimization work within the operational rolling stock environment.
Person Profile
*Must have previous rolling stock experience. Ideally 5+ years.
*Must have experience within leading projects or people within the depot environment. Ideally for operational fleet.
*Experience within any of the following aspects: RAMs, Fleet/Depot Operations, Safety Cases & Implementations or leading teams in production or support.
*Degree Qualified within a relevant Engineering Field.
*Any experience within LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince 2 is considered beneficial.
More than likely the successful individual will hold a lead or specialist engineers post within production/maintenance, technical support or fleet operations or be a fleet engineer / consultant within a leasing company or specialist rail consultancy. We are also keen to invite applications from discipline managers and team leaders within the depot who are open to broadening their experience.
