Job Summary

Our expanding Asset Management Group is seeking Monitoring Technician candidates who are able to support ongoing growth.

The Asset Monitoring Team are part of our Geospatial Services department and specialise in measuring and forecasting dynamic behaviour and health of civil infrastructure and earthworks using established and innovative technologies, including automated systems, remote and embedded sensors and UAVs. With clients, we specify, develop and implement instrumentation and monitoring (I&M) systems to baseline performance, detect behaviour and mitigate risk of failure. We offer consultancy to optimise construction methodologies, and asset management strategies through analytics and early warnings.

The role will require supporting the expanding Asset Monitoring Team in both technical and operational roles.

• Duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Proactively promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all staff
• Assisting with planning and preparation of site work
• Undertaking site based duties, including installation, commissioning and maintenance of monitoring instrumentation and traditional optical surveying/monitoring
• Data visualisation, analysis and interpretation of data in accordance with the scope and technical standards and/or statutory requirements
• Supervision and mentoring of junior staff

Minimum Requirements

• Demonstrable experience of surveying and/or monitoring of civils assets e.g. structures, earthworks.
• Knowledge of I&M and Geomatics techniques, including their application. This may include:
• Operation of geomatics equipment e.g. total stations
• The installation and commissioning of monitoring instrumentation and systems
• Data analysis of geospatial and/or monitoring data
• Knowledge and experience using traditional Geomatics techniques.
• Knowledge and experience using remote monitoring systems and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in relevant monitoring or geomatics role.
• Relevant HND/Degree
