Geotechnical Engineer in London, London, United Kingdom
As a Geotechnical Engineer you will have a Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering Degree and be either a Member or have applied for the Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or The Geological Society. You will have experience in geotechnical inspection, ground investigation, monitoring, assessment, design and stabilisation of earth structures as well as design of foundations, retaining walls and earthworks in a railway and road environment.
Knowledge of legislation, technical standards and industry best practice related to earth structures and geotechnical engineering is essential. Ability to use key geotechnical design software Slope/W is Essential and other softwares such as Wallap, Repute, Palxis and others is Desirable.
Experience with relevant Eurocodes, UK standards and specifications and UK ground conditions. You will preferably have some knowledge of Network Rail and Highways England design and reporting processes.
