Handover Support Engineer
Purpose of the Job
To support the Supervisor’s Representative (PFE) to ensure compliance with Sponsors Requirements and the Assurance Process
Principal Accountabilities
Support the Supervisor’s Representative (PFE) for:
- Assisting the Project Field Engineer in discharging delegated duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor under NEC3 ECC where agreed with the Business.
- Reviewing and accepting Red-Line Drawings and data to support the Employer’s Completion Process and Handover Management plan
- Liaison with Contractor to establish handover readiness including: handover documentation, training, O&M, certification & asset information. Working with the handover team to establish accurate metrics on handover.
- Facilitate the identification and close-out of Non Conformance Reports
- Facilitate closure of RFIs, FCDs, derogations and concessions through liaison with discipline engineering team
- Liaison with Infrastructure Managers to facilitate their acceptance of the Works.
- Monitoring the contractor’s compliance with their ITPs and participating in some witness and review points, seeking support as required from the Technical Director’s discipline specialists.
- Supporting the Supervisor’s Representative (PFE) in the review of contractor certification packages.
- Support the Supervisor’s Representative (PFE) in the Materials Compliance Records (MCR) process.
- Participation in Contractor Surveillance activities and keeping the Supervisor’s Representative (PFE) informed of issues on site.
- Facilitate quick dissemination of information out to various sites based on lessons learnt.
- Monitoring the contractor’s compliance with Environmental, Safety & Health requirements, escalating issues and seeking intervention where required.
- Receiving and commenting on contractor daily reports.
- Supporting the Supervisor’s Representative (PFE) in the review and acceptance of the Contractor’s Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to Target Zero principles.

Person Specification
- Degree qualified engineer or equivalent experience
- Some experience of engineering and/or construction on major infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of design management and interface management processes
- Knowledge and experience of construction quality systems and processes
