Racon Resource are working with a leading International manufacturer of rail vehicles to recruit a number of key appointments at their site in Valencia, Spain’s third largest city. We are looking to appoint a Homologation Engineer responsible for the management of the authorisation procedures for introduction of railway vehicles intended to operate in different European countries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analysis of the legislation and European rules applicable both specific to the different European countries
• Elaboration and update of the verification plan of the project, identifying the applicable requirements (derived from the first task) and defining the procedure to ensure compliance
• Communication and management with groups of engineering design, testing and Quality for the proper conduct of the targets set in the verification plan
• Monitoring and control of the documentation submitted by the Notified body and the Agencies of rail safety (national and European)
• Communication and management with the European Railway Agency, National Security agencies and certification bodies for the smooth running of the project and authorization of the vehicles in the defined term
• Technical mediation between engineering and external bodies

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 Years of experience in project management, management of requirements, and/or certification/accreditation processes
• Previous experience in similar sectors or associated companies (NoBo, ISA’s). Other sectors such as Automotive or Air Industry will be considered
• User level Office package and knowledge of DOORS

PERSON PROFILE:

• Mandatory: Masters Degree in Engineering (degree or master)
• Recommended: Industrial engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics
• Good communication skills
• Open minded and able to work under pressure environments
• High level of English, spoken and written
• High level of French spoken and written
