Main purpose of Job:

Provide IT technical support during integration of signalling business into corporate IT environment. Working as part of the existing team to support the current focus on applying a standard re-image to all PCs and deployment to users across the UK. Overall scale of the project involves over 700 users across 16 sites.

Key Result Areas

• The role will include specific tasks from the following, as directed by the Integration team:
• Preparation of returned machines prior to re-imaging
• Successful image deployment to PCs prior to domain joining
• Accurate record of assets imaged, issue identified and resolution action taken Accurate preparation of assets for each user, wherever possible including pre-testing
• Deploying PCs to users attending the office to collect their replacement machine and initial hand-holding, including support in areas such as transferring locally stored data to the new machine
• Recovering the user’s existing machine
• Travelling with other integration team members to deploy PCs to users at UK operational sites and recover existing assets Successful deployment, user able to access required applications and satisfied with service provided by the technician
• Accurate record of recovered asset as required by the team processes, all user data transferred
• Working as part of the team to provide an efficient and effective deployment task force at each site visited with minimal disruption to Business As Usual

Skills:

• Demonstrable experience of IT technical support
• Communicate effectively

Qualifications

• A-Level or equivalent Mathematics / Computer Science

Experience

• PC Imaging
• Installing and managing hardware/software
• Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
• Previous history with an IT migration project
• Process driven

Qualifications:

• CompTIA A+
• MTA: IT Infrastructure

Experience
