Missions & Main activities
The role relates to the execution of the Birmingham tramway network extension contract. The aim of this once-renewable five-year contract is to construct 4 km of new line in the coming three years (three extensions) and an additional 15 km in the following five years (two additional lines).
The role of Egis Rail is included in a partnership agreement called "The Midland Metro Alliance" which brings together the Prime Contractor, the Construction Consortium and the Engineering Office.
This exciting role is for an Interface Engineer who is responsible for the interface management cross projects and assists the Design Leads for the cross disciplines checks, ensuring that tasks are perfectly defined between disciplines.
The Interface Engineer will follow tasks from delivery phase to ensure that they are correctly handed over in a consistent and clear manner.
The successful candidate will develop internal processes and practices in support of project development across all disciplines. In addition, you will assist Stakeholders, Engineering and Project Management in understanding the project development and Requirements Management, Systems Integration and Interface Management Engineering effort so that they can better understand and forecast the scope of their projected activities.
You will have/be:
• A suitable Master Degree
• A qualified professional working under limited supervision capable of performing general technical works and manages projects or tasks of moderate complexity
• Junior engineer or an experienced technician, with good knowledge and practice of AutoCAD 2D-3D + Revit (or equivalent) in Rail Design.
• Pack Office skills
• A strong ability to listen, understand, analyse and communicate
• Be a good team player and have good clear communication skills
