Role: Junior Structural Engineer (1 2 years)
Location: London (Kings Cross St Pancras)
Salary: Negotiable DoE

I am looking to place a Junior Structural Engineer with around 1-2 years in industry in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancys London office. The firm has operated in engineering for 40 years, expanding beyond Structural Engineering to include Geotechnical, Civil and Environmental and Architectural services. The firm has completed over 20,000 projects and has an excellent reputation with project values running into the hundreds of millions of pounds.

Ideally, the firm are looking for a candidate with a combined civil/structural + architecture degree, or someone who has had experience of working alongside architects during their first year or two in industry. You will understand how civil/structural design and architecture go hand-in-hand, with some experience of liaising with architects or had your small personal responsibilities within architecture, though still with a background in structural design.

The firms current project portfolio covers a range of refurbishment/heritage projects, multi-storey residential/commercial mixed-use developments, student accommodation, and even some projects that can be considered as purely artistic.

The successful candidate can expect to be managing a range of their own projects in fairly short order, working alongside architects to produce building designs that are not just functional, but visually stunning as well. Employees are actively encouraged to take ownership of their workloads and you will quickly take on your own responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant experience in Structural Engineer (1-2 years)
• Relevant education in Structural/Civil Engineering + Architecture
• Relevant education in Architecture
• Experience working alongside Architects
• Relevant experience of Structural design projects (Commercial, Residential, Heritage, Healthcare, Education, etc)
• Desire to work towards managing own projects
