Working with one of the largest construction companies within the UK with internationally-renowned experience in the successful delivery of technically demanding, multi-disciplinary and logistically complex projects including the prestegious M20 project & HS2.
To be suitable for the position you must have
Must be degree qualified or have relevant engineering experience in either Civil/ Structural or Materials
A valid CSCS card. Strong up to date technical knowledge of materials engineering. A good working knowledge/understanding of BIM. Experience in some or all of the following; Chemical Analysis, Structural Concrete, Construction Materials, Monitoring Excavated Materials, Testing of Soil, Aggregates, Concrete, and Asphalt.
Role Information
- Resolve material technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide materials testing services to both tenders and project delivery
- Manage the budget and resourcing for Materials Engineering
- Provide procurement strategies for both the re-use, purchase and disposal of materials.
- Support the Chief Materials Engineer in materials risk management and carry out an assurance on projects, identifying best practice, areas for improvement and areas of concern
