OLE Engineer

Rate and Location: The position will be based in Glasgow with a rate of between £320 - £400 per shift dependant on experience

An opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s leading railway contractors to join their distribution engineering team where you will be responsible for the implementation of project works in accordance with current technical standards.

Role Description:

Working as part of a team you will be responsible for modifying and enhancing existing rail infrastructure to Network Rail standards/IEE regulations. You will assist in the layout of electrical systems and power supplies in the railway environment. You will offer advice to other members of the team and liaise with the client. Preparation and supervision of method statements for task specific works as well as the supervision of sub contractors and staff members. Liaise with the sub contractors on work specification as well as liaising with Designer/Structural Engineers.

Required Experience:

For this role you will ideally hold an electrical engineering qualification (minimum of a HNC), project engineering experience on the railway and a valid PTS card.

In return you will receive a 9 month contract, starting on a date to suit your current situation, and the chance to help deliver a major electrification scheme.
