OLE Field Engineer

Day Rate - £300-£400 a day
Location - Midlands
Position Type - Contract

Purpose of the role

A team of OLEC Linesmen and an OLE Field Engineer are required to install wiring and finish off an Electrification project in the Midlands. There is 4-6 weeks of full time work and there is also a strong possibility of an extension on other projects leading to long term full time work for the exceptional.

This role is ONLY for an OLE Field Engineer with VERY STRONG skills who needs no training and guidance and can oversee and check the work done by a team of Linesmen on an OLE Construction project. The client isn't interested in anyone who needs to be shown what to do. This is a time sensitive job and they need people to hit the ground running.

As an OLE Field Engineer you will report to the Construction Manager and are responsible for overseeing and checking the construction works and all associated processes within the section.

The OLE Field Engineer will delegate operational requirements, specifically to the supervisors and Linesmen in a hands on way. You will not be afraid of getting your hands dirty and leading by example

Multiple OLE construction project experience is required. Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of key installation and design parameters which will allow on-site solutions to any installation issues to be implemented.

Good understanding of OLE construction techniques and installation parameters is critical to allow early identification of potential issues in allocation and allow for resolution of issues prior to planned installation.

GENERIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety requirements.
• To ensure that company procedures and statutory obligations are fully addressed.
• To ensure that all work is executed in accordance with the latest information.
• Resolution of site technical issues
• Site Surveys
• Attend and represent works at possession planning and whiteboard meetings
• On-site support for installation works
• Development, maintenance and input into installation trackers
• Ensure all site work is delivered in line with Health and Safety Legislation, company, project and rail standards
