OLE Field Engineer / Nationwide / Up to £350 per day

Maclean Moore are working in partnership with various contractors and consultancies across the UK who are currently recruiting for a number of OLE Field Engineers.

Role:

The role requires an experienced field engineer with a strong understanding of working within OLE. You will be managing client side expectations as a site engineer, this will involve managing contractors, ensuring adherence to design requirements, checking and reviewing all engineering works, interface between contractor delivery teams and the clients site support team to ensure TQ’s and D&C logs are understood and processed effectively to ensure project progression. Reporting into the Construction Manager and the Senior Design Engineer, your role will be essential to the successful correlation and interface between all OLE design and construction activities.

Communicating with the Project Engineer and Designated Project Engineer on technical issues, you will attend, hold and witness points by Inspection Request Forms (IRF) or Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and sign off contractors’ documentation, while at the same time supporting with the resolution of any engineering challenges including TQs, in order to deliver the work in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements:

• Ability to build relationships and work cohesively within a team.
• Previous experience of delivering OLE Engineering Works within a Network Rail controlled infrastructure.
• Strong communicator using verbal and written methods.
• PTS certificatio.
• OLEC 1 competance
• Ability to conduct, analyse and interpret the as build information provided by delivery teams
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• A working knowledge of OLE standards in terms of both design and installation.
• Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering Overhead Line Equipment systems, within a challenging and high pressure work environment against scheduled project deadlines.
• Ideally knowledge and experience with series 1 systems.
