P-Way Engineer in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom
I am seeking a number of P-Way Engineers to join my specialist rail client, an industry leading principal contractor to work on a flagship project in the North East.
Role Brief
My client requires a P-Way Engineer that has previous experience working in a similar role, who has experience of planning within the track sector and will possess the right knowledge, abilities and experience to deliver time critical Track / P-Way requirements for Plain Line and S&C.
To be considered for this role the P-Way Engineer will possess or have good working knowledge / appreciation of the following;
- P-Way and P-Way related Rail Civils requirements planning experience
- Extensive Plain Line and S&C installation familiarity
- Working appreciation of Tamping, Stressing and Track Handback
- Heath, Safety and Qualify conscious
- PTS as standard, COSS, stressing hand back
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
Role & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the P-Way Project Manager and Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for assisting in the requirements and forward planning mid-week and out on site controlling and supervising all planned P-Way delivery works
- You will have a strong working knowledge of Track renewal, installation and related Rail Civils development processes and will have a good working understanding of P-Way installation, development / construction objectives, including delivery methods and procedures.
- Have a strong working appreciation of Tamping, Stressing and Track Hand back
- You will ensure that site records are maintained and kept up to date, Work Package Plans for compiled and task briefs issued.
