Role: Principal / Associate Structural Engineer
Location: Central London
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (negotiable)

I am looking to place a Principal to Associate-Level Structural Engineer within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancys London Head Office. The firm has a wide are looking to place a Chartered Structural Engineer who has experience of London-based projects, with the capability of overseeing a team of engineers leading from a managerial and technical standpoint. The firm is currently completing a range of education, healthcare, retail and mixed-use high-rise designs around London and further afield. This would suit someone who is still a technical-style Senior / Principal engineer looking to take on a fresh challenge or someone already operating at Associate level with previous experience managing their own team of engineers, technicians and projects.

The firm has a hand in a wide variety of sectors, with project values into the hundreds of millions, covering new-build and refurbishment projects across commercial, residential, heritage, structural glass, rail structures, temporary/permanent works and a wide variety of bespoke structures. Structures of note include Skys newest office in London, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, a range of Astra Zeneca projects including part of their new HQ, and more.

The expectation is that candidates will already be chartered with either the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE), as the role will feature some mentoring of more junior employees as well as checking/approving designs.

The firm would prefer applicants who have previous experience of London-based projects or other major UK cities. You will be expected to hit the ground running, but you will have the support directly from the Partners of the firm, some of whom are on the IStructE examining board with hundreds of years experience between them.

Job Requirements:

• Chartered with ICE/IStructE
• Relevant Civil/Structural Engineering education
• Broad structural project experience
