Principal Geotechnical Engineer

As a result of continued success, a market-dominating consultancy are seeking the industry’s best engineers to deliver the designs for various rail projects across the South, based in their new office in the heart of Cardiff.
Whilst working on one of the UK’s largest rail upgrade projects, this opportunity will enable you to play a part in delivering a varied package of works over the next 10 years. As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be working closely with the Engineering Manager to manage the specialist team, whilst utilising your technical expertise to become the go-to expert for all geotechnical elements of the project.
Due to the autonomy this role boasts, you would need to have experience of leading a design team and be able to demonstrate your technical capabilities from previously delivering large rail infrastructure projects.
The day rate on offer is circa £350/day depending on experience.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant field e.g. Civil Engineering, Geo-environmental engineering etc.
- Proven experience as a Principal or Lead Geotechnical Engineer
- Experience in rail infrastructure sector
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer strong preference
