Based in the Midlands you will have responsibility to provide traction power locally and across projects throughout the UK. Leading the support of the UK Midlands office for existing programs as well as new projects such as HS2. Commercial and financial responsibility for delivery of traction power projects will come under your charge as well as line management of the team.

To secure the position you can demonstrate technical input on major projects covering all areas of DC and AC traction power systems including issues associated with earthing and bonding such systems, including in AC/DC interface areas.

You will need experience in a wide range of traction power engineering such as:

Traction power systems design for AC & DC rail systems
Traction power protection studies
Carry out LV protection calculations
Perform power substation layout design
Have experience in providing on-site design support.
