Proposals Engineer
Ford and Stanley the Rail Recruitment experts are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Tendering Engineer. The role will focus on the creation and control of compliant processes and content relating to new sales tendering. Management of pre-qualification and approval processes and sales pipeline reporting through appropriate platforms such as CRM.
- Ensure that tenders and large project approvals meet internal and external customer needs.
- Build positive working relationships across multiple client functions, UK and overseas, to enhance the quality of proposals content.
- Manage timely and accurate information and responses to ensure that appropriate and complaint bids are received on time by transactional customers.
- Agree and introduce new and improved processes to improve the efficiency & responsiveness of the department, leading to improved sales conversion ratios.
- Ensure that new engine proposals and processes capture and benefit from changes in compliance and approvals requirements and imporovments in client processes and system capability.
- Ensure that agreed T&C are applied to all contracts, through liaison with the Commercial management.
- Manage order acceptance and project handover.
- Coordinate and report feedback from customers after the tendering cycle has ended, win or loose, to ensure that lessons learned are captured by future opportunities. This may be technical and commercial reasons for winning and losing.
Essential
- At least 5 years successful business process development experience gained within a solution based capital equipment environment.
- Demonstrable skill around communicating with colleagues in multiple locations to ensure compliance with and assistance from an international network of colleagues.
- Formaly trained in Lean, six sigma or some other efficicency improvement technique.
