Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler, Switzerland. SRS UK provides a train maintenance service for a growing number of clients in the UK. In the next few years over 100 new Stadler trains will be joining the English railway network. This is an excellent prospect for SRS UK, which supports the maintenance of all Stadler trains with efficient and versatile services. SRS UK, with its approx. 150 employees, is characterised by its no-nonsense culture.
Stadler UK are now looking to recruit a RAMS Engineer to support the growing number of projects within the UK. The RAMS Engineer is responsible for the prediction, tracking and verification of the life cycle costs as well as the reliability, availability and maintenance indicators of our vehicles.
RAMS ENGINEER UK
YOUR TASKS
• Creation of cost models for full service projects
• Preparation of risk, fault tree, reliability and availability analysis of the relevant fleet
• Support definition of maintenance infrastructure and personnel requirements for projects
• Expansion and coordination of our maintenance concepts with fleet management and product development.
• Evaluation of field experience for validation of maintenance analyses.
• Support and implement RAM/LCC requirements in Stadler UK projects
• Work closely with Stakeholders and customers to ensure acceptance
• Support Stadler bid teams with UK knowledge in relation to life cycle costs and RAMS indicator of Stadler's vehicles
YOUR PROFILE
Candidates must have:
• Have a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
• Possess strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in transport
• Be an analytical thinking and a high level of comprehension in complex processes
• Be a clear communicator and ability to work in a multi-national organisation
• Be able to work independently
• have excellent Microsoft package knowledge including high experience of working with Excel
• Be able to build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Be able to work independently and balance highly demanding projects and deadlines
• Have flexibility to travel nationally and overseas to other Stadler sites on a regular basis including an initial training programme spent in Switzerland
An understanding of German (written and spoken) would be an advantage together with a driving licence. Maintenance and RAM/LCC experience preferred
