Requirements Engineer in London, United Kingdom
Purpose of the Job
To implement the Requirements Management activities and Systems Integration processes across the Programme at various stages of the Programme Development.
Principal Accountabilities
The principal accountabilities for this role are to:
- Management of the compliance checking process and to provide inputs to the Verification and Validation activities and Assurance Management processes.
- Support team activities in managing implementation of V & V Plan.
- Engage with Supply chain organisations to ensure timely inputs to the Requirements Management and Systems Integration Processes to aid Acceptance and Completion process.
- Be familiar with Requirements Management tools and able to deliver simple module configuration preferably within DOORS environment.
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to the Target Zero principles.

Main challenges of the job
The post holder will need to develop good working relationships with the Delivery Teams and contractors as well as internally to the organisation.
The post holder is required to:
- Set and maintain a high level of professional performance
- Demonstration of compliance to the Employers Requirements
- Support the V&V processes within DOORS I Complypro environment and engaging with Contractors in process implementation
Dimensions & Interfaces (both internal and external)
The post holder is responsible for implementing and providing advice within on Requirements Management activities. They will also decide on escalation of issues to the Requirements Engineering Manager.

Person Specification
- Experience of using the IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool. Some experience in Configuration of DOORS module will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of Systems engineering processes in a large multi-disciplined project environment with the aptitude to adopt the established processes.
- Understanding requirements management processes and awareness of different lifecycle approaches as applied to railway infrastructure projects or technology development and implementation projects.
- Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplined team.
- Ability to interface with railway domain specialists in design assurance.
