Rolling Stock Engineer
3-6 Month Contract
£400 to £450 a day
The role of the Rolling Stock Engineer will be to manage third-party fleet maintainers for a large operational fleet. It will be key to oversee the day to day maintenance programmes and look to deliver new ways of improving performance and safety.
This is an exciting opportunity for an interim to join a well-known name in the industry. Due to the complexity and focus of the project, they are looking for a confident individual to hit the ground running and overcoming challenges moving forward.
You will be reporting directly to the Technical Fleet Manager, it will be your responsibility to make sure he is kept updated on the project status.
Key responsibilities:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing rolling stock maintenance programmes
- Proven Experience of successfully improving fleet maintenance performance and safety processes
- Must have worked with a Train Operating Company.
- Must have managed 3rd Party fleet maintainers
- Ideally must hold chartered status
- Ability to oversee and manage project plan schedules.
- In-depth technical Knowledge of legacy rolling stock
