ABOUT YOU

You will have a Rolling Stock background, and understand the fundamentals of Train Maintenance and RAMS.

With your analytical mind and attention to detail you will have the ability to monitor reliability trends in the fleet performance and develop improvement plans and proposals based upon root cause analysis and forecast improvements. You will have an excellent understanding of Warranty on rolling stock components, and be able to monitor and report on their performance against Life Cycle expectancy. You will also be able to identify further opportunities to improve reliability and reduce life cycle costs of the fleet by application of RCM techniques

ABOUT THE POSITION

You’ll be reporting to the Performance Engineer for the Depot, for all warranty or reliability issues arising on fleets in Manchester.

The role is to investigate all in-service delays and casualties for the rolling stock and liaise with internal departments and external suppliers in identifying root cause failures for defect systems and components

Identify further opportunities to improve reliability and reduce life cycle costs of the fleet by application of RCM techniques

With your leadership skills this role will enable you to push your career forward into Management while working on the latest Rolling Stock technologies on the market!

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• NVQ3 or above in an Engineering related discipline
• Experience in a Systems Reliability and Performance role.
• Proven experience in planning and organising
