SCADA Engineer Job requirements

Responsibilities:
* Working with Remote Terminal Units in the Crossrail project.
* Working with our client on the Communication and Control part of the iconic Crossrail Project in London.
* Works as part of the Crossrail SCADA team, reporting to the Technical Team Lead.
* Creation of SCADA configurations to control High Voltage, Traction power and low voltage applications
* Perform reviews of input/output schedules to ensure consistency between installed devices across 10 stations. These devices range from High voltage over-head power lines, to Ventilation fans, sump pumps and building management system.
* Provide design support to testing and commissioning Engineers on site
* Creation and update of documentation for site engineers to build against.
* Creation of Wiring, Cable and termination schedules to aid the installation teams
* Willing to work in London and visit site to provide technical support to the commissioning team.
* Contribute to the weekly status reports provided to the Client.
* Contribute to weekly planning meetings
* Appreciation of engineering change control and configuration processes
Soft Skills and abilities
* Must be able to prioritise own work.
* Must be able to read architectural drawings in order to determine the location of engineering assets.
* Good team worker.
* Proactive positive attitude
* Good communication skills, and able to express complex problems in simple terms.
* Attention to detail.
* Problem solving mindset,
* Willingness to learn is critical. The Crossrail project is large and very complex with numerous nuances. An analytical mindset and a willingness to learn is crucial in this role.
* On the job training will be provided
* Must be able to use Microsoft office products.
* Must be from a technical or engineering background.
* Previous knowledge of RTUs, PLCs, or logical control systems will be advantageous.
* Previous project experience will be advantageous.
* At least 2 years of experience working in engineering teams or on engineering projects will be advantageous.
