Recruiting for a Section Engineer to work for an international leader in rail infrastructure engineering projects, to work in Newport, South Wales. Offering either perm or contract, depending on individual preference.

As a Section Engineer you will:
* Assist and support the Construction Manager ensuring project compliance with statutory legislation, Network Rail Group and Company Standards, and Company management systems, processes and procedures
* Adhere to and brief out SSOW packs and Task Briefs in line with the standards and the relevant project Work Package Plan(s)
* Ensure that adequate site access and welfare facilities are provided for all work activities and used correctly
* Be responsible for ensuring that the ground disturbance procedure / permit to dig is strictly adhered to records kept accordingly
* Interface between the design activities and construction activities - ensuring all works are constructed in accordance with approved designs

You will:
* Hold an Engineering Qualification (MEng, BEng, BSc, HNC/HND ) in Civil Engineering
* Be a strong team worker and have the ability to build relationships across the team
* Have a background in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering
* Have a broad appreciation and experience of railway OHL installation and equipment
* Have an understanding of the Railway operating environment
